App Updates

We have now completed our new App Manager and Location Manager training videos, and they are accessible through this portal though are password-protected. Contact admin@clintrialreferapp.com or megan@clintrialreferapp.com if you would like access to these videos for a new staff member or site. They will still be required to first download the app onto their device and create an account in order for us to give them access.

ClinTrial Refer has moved the Phase filter from the Advanced Filter section into the main menu.  This change was driven by user feedback and has improved the ability for users to find relevant results faster.  Simply click on ‘select trial phase’ to scroll and select your preferred phase.  If you do not wish to use trial phase in your search you can ignore this field.

Clinical Trial Phase Definitions:

In case you are not familiar with the different trial phases, following is a quick guide on what each phase means to guide application in your search:

Phase I- In Phase I clinical trials, interventions are tested on a small number of people (20-80) to assess safety. The intervention can be a new medicine, vaccine, or type of medical test. If the therapy is not safe, it will not progress to Phase II
Phase II- In Phase II clinical trials, new interventions are tested on a larger group of people (can be several hundred) to determine if the new intervention works as intended and to further evaluate safety.
Phase III- In Phase III clinical trials, interventions are tested on very large numbers of people (hundreds to thousands) to expand on understanding of safety & effectiveness, & to compare interventions to existing treatment options. Overall risks and benefits are also monitored further
Phase IV- Phase IV clinical trials examine long term effectiveness & safety of therapies in the wider population after approval for use in the market. They continue to monitor for adverse effects & side effects and look at use in combination with other therapies or explore new indications.

Cohort names can now be entered in long-text format, in order to better suit many new protocol descriptions which may require multiple lines.
